Garden Studio

Craigleith, Edinburgh

This garden studio designed for yoga, table tennis and entertaining avoids the use of concrete. Opting instead for natural materials wherever possible. The timber frame is built on screw pile foundations, with wood fibre insulation, larch cladding, cork tiles and topped with a green roof.

Surrounded by greenery, the glass walls slide open to connect the space to the wide terrace for enjoying summer evenings.

  • Oak framed garden buildng

    Glass doors open onto decking

  • Traditional oak craftsmanship

  • Sustainable, natural materials predominate

Kris was fantastic throughout the project both on the design and project management side. We were continually impressed by his ideas, thoughtfulness and attention to detail. He was always on top of everything to make sure the build went smoothly. We are extremely pleased with our new building, and would highly recommend Kris to anybody in need of an architect.
